Today, I had a revelation about a play on words. Double negatives strike again. Your worst enemy is your best friend. ‘Worst enemy’ is essentially a double negative; if two individuals are ‘worst enemies’, then they are terribly unsuccessful at being enemies. Thus they are best friends. Q.E.D.
