Professor’s Post
What to others think about Martin Luther king being classified as a fanatic? I agree, this to me is an example of fanaticism in a positive light.
Response
I would definitely classify Martin Luther King as a positive/beneficial fanatic, as well as Ghandi, Mother Teresa, Princess Diana, the Dalai Lama, Siddhartha Gautama, Jesus Christ, and most other major historically influential political and religious leaders. In a previous post, I argued that all truly religious individuals would necessarily have to be fanatics. Again, I question ‘Why subscribe to something if you aren’t truly convinced of its convictions’? This post and question apply equally to inquiries.
